Vandal Hearts has a Russian translation. I hope you might add compatibility with this specific image, or perhaps implement a localization system in the future.

Thanks for the idea, I looked at the link provided and it's with the patch already applied. I tried to find the patch itself but got no luck.
Would you happen to have a link for it so I can check how it's being applied? It could give me pointers at the options for such support.

Just to let you know I've started to look at what a translation framework would have to cover. The patched game you linked was very useful so I could diff it against the Us version, and see which areas where modified as a starting point.
I can't promise anything yet, but it seems something could be done to have a user friendly framework, I will have more time this weekend. I don't want to rush it given how important it would be to increase the community aspect of the port.

@shikulja I've released a new version, 1.7.0 with a framework for translators.
It supports non latin scripts, I've tested Greek and Russian to stress it.
Documentation updated with all the information needed for individuals or teams to provide a langpack. Text and background images coverage is complete. Video out of scope now, I need to think on the best way to do so.
