This is great work! Thanks for putting this together and sharing it. For skipping episodes, there isn't a direct shortcut yet. I didn't add it initially since it's less straightforward than the others, and I just use TAB (skipping to the end triggers the next episode to load anyway). I might add a dedicated shortcut in the next release. For typing, Stremio doesn't have a native keyboard and I'm not building one from scratch, so your best option is the one you recommended. Navigation support most probably ends where it stands now. I've pushed it as far as I can for something I never originally planned to support. Getting it working at all was sketchy enough, honestly I'm surprised I pulled off this much. Like I mentioned before, I use this $5 mini keyboard and it covers everything I need. Can't recommend it enough. |

Unrelated to this, but does anyone know how to adjust/disable the shortcuts for the gamepad in Stremio Kai? The config files only show the keyboard shortcuts. Is there a way to customise this? |

Custom Remote Controller for Stremio Kai 🎮
I've always wanted a remote controller option for Stremio, and since the last update added almost full keyboard navigation, I could finally make this up. It may not be perfect, but it works, and I want to share it with you.
Demo (click):
How to set it up:
Install the Monect PC remote server on your PC: https://www.monect.com/
Install the app on your Android or iOS phone through either the App Store or Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can also download the APK from their website. (Android only)
Download the remote file on your phone and extract it:
Stremio Kai Remote 1.0.zip
Open the app on your PC and ensure everything is running. Mine looks like this:
Now open it on your phone and connect it to your PC. Make sure both your PC and phone are on the same network since I haven't tried it on different networks.
Go to Layouts, press the + icon, select "install design" (or something similar), and import the file you extracted.
7- Go to the layouts and scroll down until you see the remote

8-You're done.

Considerations/Limitations
1. Typing: Since I couldn't find how to open your phone's keyboard, if you open the search tab, you won't be able to type. The workaround is using the on-screen keyboard Windows gives you. Open it first and place it in the bottom of your screen or wherever you like. Now you only have to press the keyboard icon when you want to type and use the touchpad I included.
2. Skipping Episodes:
I don't know if it isn't working or if he didn't add a key for that.Allecsc might add a shortcut for that soon.3. Not perfect Navigation: To counter not having full keyboard support, I added touchpads in case you get stuck and the buttons don't work. I hope Allecsc improves this.
Thank you for reading. I hope you all like this idea. Of course you're free to modify this to your liking or improve what I've done!
