Certainly there could be a setting for this. If someone wants to pick it up it would be nice. Only concern would be making sure the app could open from spotlight or similar just fine. I remember someone having an issue with this in the past but I was not able to replicate |

Unless there's something technical that requires Handy to add itself to the menu bar / status bar / tray on macOS, it would be great to have the option to completely hide it. In my opinion, it serves no purpose and doesn't indicate anything when not in use.
The 'Audio Feedback' and 'Overlay Position' options already provide ways to indicate when it's active. Maybe the status bar icon could appear only when active (listening/transcribing), but I think that should still be optional.
macOS puts a big orange icon in the menu bar when the mic is active, and I find that's already plenty of feedback to know it's working.
