I can only confirm I have the same issue. Running the latest image version (self hosting) and on Firefox if using 2026.8 doesn't work. |

After posting I discovered that must be a purely client-side problemas the error message appeared directly regardless of the right or purposfully wrong master password. Additionally I saw the addon always trying to query my self hosted instance, even after I had cleared all caches and restarted the browser and device multiple times. What seems to have fixed it for me was swapping the self hosted instance, I entered some random url and was able to trigger a network error this way when I tried to log in which even more randon login credentials. Which makes sense as the random url doesn't exist. Afterwards I was able to enter the correct instance url and could log in again. Hope this limbo helps anybody. |

As the newest clients 2026.8 started to have issues (showing an empty vault) I upgraded to the newest version v1.37.2. This fixed the error for most clients (Brave and Desktop). On Firefox the error changed a few times (Empty vault, No elements in sequence) until it stuck with "An unexpected error has occured".
