The existing code typically works on Linux-based systems. I recommend installing Ubuntu via Proxmox and testing it in that environment.

Thanks for the recommendation, Ubuntu on Proxmox seems like the simplest option to try. I'll test it in a lightweight VM and see how it performs. The guide should make the setup process much easier, and maybe I'll even keep my 8jjj game download apk files on a separate VM. Appreciate the helpful response!

Hi @engageub just so you know, it seems like both @preetman10927-hub and @williamhenderson89 are bots (no pp; account created yesterday; no history...) which only goal is to get backlink on you repository to promote suspicious website. Maybe you should consider deleting their post.

Thanks for letting me know they were bots. This discussion has already been closed.

I did notice some users posting backlinks and have asked them not to do so in a few discussions. I'm not sure how GitHub allows these accounts to create posts with those links.

I can't realistically keep deleting large numbers of spam links, especially if they're being posted automatically by scripts. I'd need a similar automated solution to detect, remove, and report them to GitHub.

This only seems to have started about two weeks ago, when a few users began posting backlinks. Before that, I don't recall seeing this kind of spam over the past several years.

I'm not sure whether their goal is simply to drive traffic to their websites or to create extra moderation work.
