Config Templates

Config Templates in FilaMind Flow, running on a Sovol SV08

A library of ready-to-paste Klipper config blocks and macros. If you have ever stared at a blank printer.cfg wondering how to write a clean start sequence or a working M600, this is for you.

What it does

The widget keeps a collection of common Klipper building blocks in one place. You get start and end print sequences, pause and resume handling, filament load and unload macros, an M600 filament-change macro, and config sections like [input_shaper], [bed_mesh], and [firmware_retraction]. There is more than that short list, but those are the kind of things you reach for most often.

Templates are grouped by category, so you can narrow the library down to just macros, or just the config sections you care about, instead of scrolling the whole list. Each entry copies to your clipboard with a single click, ready to paste into your config.

Most templates come with illustrated help that explains what the block does and how it fits into a printer config. The aim is to make a block understandable before you paste it, not just to hand you text.

Using it

  1. Open the Config Templates widget.
  2. Filter by category to find the kind of block you need, such as a macro or a specific config section.
  3. Read the illustrated help for the template so you know what it does.
  4. Click copy to put the block on your clipboard.
  5. Paste it into your printer config and adjust any values to match your machine.

Notes

These templates work on any Klipper printer. They are generic starting points, not machine-specific config, so you should expect to edit values to fit your own hardware and setup.

The widget copies text to your clipboard. It does not write to your config or apply anything to the printer on its own, so pasting and reviewing the block is always your call.

Treat every template as a draft until you have checked it. Pin numbers, dimensions, temperatures, and similar settings will often need changing before the block is safe to run on your machine.
