After installation the cursor is extremely small

After downloading and installing and following install instructions, cursor is extremely small. I attempted to install from Pling, still small cursors. I placed them in .icons of the home directory and the usr/share/icons with the same result. In system settings Mouse, I enlarged the cursor setting to maximum with no change.

yup same problem here, works great on desktop but extremely small on laptop and no way of changing the size
