SearchServer API no longer finds misspelled addresses

I came across the RegBl site, and saw that Swisstopo's address search no longer takes into account miswritten searches.

I use the SearchServer API to find handwritten addresses that may contain spelling mistakes. I'd be interested to know when this change occurred, and why.

Can you point me to a changelog/issue/PR, where this subject has been addressed?
