Bogus Version Info

When I build vsg, the version shows 0.0.1 regardless of the actual tagged version:

❯ vsg -v
VHDL Style Guide (VSG) version: 0.0.1

I build it w/ ./pkgs/vsg/default.nix.

I'm a little confused on building since VSG is written in python. Could you elaborate on your environment and the tools you are using?

Sorry if this looks alien, I'm runing on NixOS, this is just how to pack Python apps for it.

@jeremiah-c-leary I think I just realised what's going on: the version file is dynamically generated, so it only works if setuptools-git-versioning can query git. That is not the case in my build, AFAIK.

BTW, I really appreciate your work, thanks a lot for vsg!
