try.jsoup.org shows a simple `error` when trying to select on a large input

I tried to use "Fetch URL" on try.jsoup.org for the news site https://www.spiegel.de/. Having loaded the HTML, a parse error is reported, no queries possible.

The site renders without problems on popular browsers.

I had a quick first look - it's not a parse error as such. jsoup can fetch and parse the site just fine, and can select (query) it.

The issue is just in the way the try.jsoup.org repl works. The front-end POSTs the input HTML back to the server to execute queries (so we don't have to persist on the server or continually reload from the origin). But, for some reason that spiegel.de site is a hair under 2MB of HTML. Which exceeds the current request input limit for our endpoint, and hence the 413 Content Too Large network response.

I will see if it makes sense to increase the limit.

But, this doesn't impact jsoup directly, just the REPL site. If you are using jsoup in your code you won't be impacted by this.
