[Bug] GNOME Shell crash (SIGSEGV) triggered by dash-to-dock #2618

Description

@universeoflinux

Description:
I am experiencing frequent GNOME Shell crashes (SIGSEGV) which seem to be directly related to the dash-to-dock extension. When the shell crashes, I see numerous warnings about the extension's widgets not being in the stage.

Steps to reproduce:

Use the system with dash-to-dock enabled.

The shell crashes randomly (often during workspace switches or overview activation).

The logs show org.gnome.Shell@wayland.service: Main process exited, code=killed, status=11/SEGV.

Logs:
Here is the relevant part of the journalctl log from the crash:

jún 30 06:48:30 macbookpro systemd[2757]: org.gnome.Shell@wayland.service: Main process exited, code=killed, status=11/SEGV
jún 30 06:49:06 macbookpro gnome-shell[994285]: st_widget_get_theme_node called on the widget [0x560221714ff0 Gjs_dash-to-dock...] which is not in the stage.
