AeroSpace terminates immediately on macOS 15.1 - "terminating on removal" after status bar icon hidden

Bug Description

AeroSpace 0.19.2-Beta immediately exits after launch on macOS 15.1. The app
cannot stay running.

• AeroSpace: 0.19.2-Beta

What Happens

1. Launch AeroSpace.app
2. App exits immediately (within 1 second)
3. Window manager never starts

AeroSpace 0.19.2-Beta immediately exits after launch on macOS 15.1. The app
cannot stay running.

The logs show macOS sends NSStatusItemChangeVisibilityAction immediately after
launch, causing AeroSpace to terminate:

Analysis

This appears to be a macOS 15.1 compatibility issue. The system is
hiding/removing the menu bar icon immediately after launch, which triggers
AeroSpace's exit logic. This behavior is new in macOS 15.1.

Temporary fix is to go to Preferences -> Menu Bar -> Allow in the Menu Bar -> toggle Aerospace to show icon in the menu bar.

AeroSpace v0.20.2-Beta 1a8128c

The issue is still there.

I want to hide the icon from the menu bar. Since the app doesn’t have its own setting to do that, I went to Preferences → Menu Bar → Allow in the Menu Bar → Aerospace and disabled it. After that, the application immediately quits and won’t start again until I re-enable the menu bar item.
