Changing a workspace that's fixed to a monitor to another one?

I want to know if it's possible to move a workspace which is configured to appear on a specific monitor (e.g. built-in) to another one (e.g. secondary), if so how. (i.e. move-workspace-to-monitor doesn't work with a workspace predetermined on a monitor.)

However, I note a potential inconsistency with node management. Currently, nodes that are configured to a workspace can be changed into another workspace.
