Dynamic Frame Format

Hello,
is there way to change frame format during the stream? For example: Viewers see portrait frame format on stream platform (h: 1280, w: 720) when streamer holds phone in vertical orientation and see landscape frame format (h: 720, w: 1280) when streamer holds phone in horizontal orientation?

Now, I see that I must stop stream, call prepareVideo and then start stream again. But it's so uncomfortable for streamer and viewers.

No, It is not possible. The reason is related with the encoder and the stream protocol.
You can't change the resolution of an encoder on fly so you must stop and create a new encoder, but even if you do it ,the streams protocols negotiate the resolution in the connection so you need stop it and create a new connection.

Technically it is possible using SRT but since it is not available on RTMP, RTSP and it isn't a common case I never did it. Also, the server and player side must support it.
