[QUESTION] Invalid OpenAI API key format

Question

After I configured the integration, when I try to use the agend I always receive this error:
"Invalid OpenAI API key format"

I tried to generate multiple keys but with the same result.

Am I doing something wrong?

To help diagnose the problem, could you please provide the following:

1. Home Assistant logs related to this error. You can find them in:

   • Settings → System → Logs
   • Filter by "ai_agent_ha" if possible
   • Or check your home-assistant.log file

2. The exact error message you're seeing (a screenshot would be helpful)

3. How are you entering the API key?

   • Are you copying it directly from the OpenAI dashboard?
   • Please make sure there are no extra spaces before or after the key

4. Your Home Assistant version and Python version

To enable debug logs for this integration, add the following to your configuration.yaml:

logger:
  default: info
  logs:
    custom_components.ai_agent_ha: debug

Then restart Home Assistant and try configuring the integration again. The debug logs will provide more detail about what's happening during API key validation.
