Benchmark: compile-once / run-many token cost.
Models the long-term token cost of running the same workflow repeatedly:
- AINL compiled IR — routing via IR branches (zero tokens), LLM only for content
- Prompt-loop agent — LLM re-invoked for routing + content on every run
At low execution counts both stacks are similar. As execution count grows the
cumulative prompt-loop orchestration cost diverges from the compiled cost.
The "compile-once / run-many" saving is measured as:
savings_ratio = prompt_loop_tokens_N / compiled_tokens_N
This ratio grows with N and the number of LLM routing steps that AINL eliminates.
Methodology
-----------
1. Use MockLLM with tiktoken token counting (no API calls, reproducible).
2. For each program, run both stacks for N_RUNS simulated executions.
3. Record cumulative token cost and breakeven point (where AINL is cheaper).
4. Report per-program tables and projections for monthly scale.
Three programs
--------------
1. enterprise_monitor — zero LLM calls when healthy (most runs), 1 on incident
2. lead_enrichment — 1 LLM call per run (content); prompt-loop adds routing LLM
3. support_triage — 3 LLM calls per run (content); prompt-loop combines them
Usage
