​Setup script fails at removing mingw installation and dependency checks

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble installing TheFatRat 1.9.7 on my Kali Linux system (64bit). The setup script runs into multiple errors during the dependency check and installation phase.

Error Details:

1. Mingw Issue:
   The script detects an incorrect version of mingw, but when I choose yes to remove it, it throws an error:
   Removing mingw as requested ... Error
Setup was unable to remove mingw installation

2. Failing Dependencies:
   At the end of the script, the following tools are marked with a red [X]:

• DX 1.16
• Apktool v2.6.0
• Baksmali v2.3.1

Environment:

• OS: Kali Linux 64-bit
• Tool: TheFatRat v1.9.7

Could anyone please guide me on how to manually clean up the mingw installation and fix these broken dependencies so the setup can complete successfully?

Same issue here, i already manually purge and reinstall all the packages and these below keeps failling

@islamhanytech2026-svg @LMCorona both of you are on Kali Linux - have you tried running the same commands with root privileges? If not, please try - might be a privilege issue

Hi, i do not think it is related to privileges. I ran everything as root and using sudo command. I purge and reinstall package by package this way. All the dependencies needed to run FatRat are there, just the setup script does not recognize those mentioned.

It's worth to mention that i recently change my pc. this Kali is fresh new on a new vm i am configuring. So probably a conflict of old versions installed is either the issue.

Any other ideas?
