This is most probably related to the emulator you are using. There are numerous issues with Qt's graphic stack that for example triggers OpenGL code (and crashes there as seen in #659) when it shouldn't and the emulator does not support OpenGL properly. You should also use the same Qt version as the "official" build as that is selected in a way that it triggers the fewest Qt-bugs.
