I currently have to render text on all nodes, or no nodes.

Describe the solution you'd like
I would love to be able to conditionally show/hide text with the nodes as I approach/move away from them while navigating through the space.

Describe alternatives you've considered
I have to use text with all nodes which also affects rendering in large graphs.

I would suggest an approach in which on camera motion the distance between the camera and each node is calculated, and if above a certain threshold no label is added to the nodes. Something like this:

    const threshold = 200; // adjust to taste
    Graph.controls().addEventListener('change', () => {
      const camPos = Graph.camera().position;
      Graph.nodeThreeObject(node => {
        const dist = camPos.distanceTo(new THREE.Vector3(node.x, node.y, node.z));
        if (dist > threshold) return false;   // no text label if too far

        // ... normal label code follows
      })
    })

If you find that the performance needs improvement due to too much node re-rerendering, you can try debouncing the controls change event handler.
