AI macro creation, uiv.* API and the MCP bridge
Ui.Vision 10 adds AI macro creation and modern JavaScript macros. A JS macro uses
the new uiv.* API - DOM and visual finders (uiv.$, uiv.findImage,
uiv.ocr.findText, uiv.ai.find), the three input tiers (uiv.page.*,
uiv.browser.*, uiv.desktop.*), screenshots, CSV, downloads and on-page banners.
Every call auto-waits and throws a real JS exception on failure, so try/catch,
loops and functions take the place of the classic flow-control commands - and pure
JS loops run 50-300x faster than the same logic in the command table. Nothing is
taken away: the classic command table works exactly as before, all demo macros ship
in both forms, and uiv.run('command', 'target', 'value') runs any classic command
from inside a script.
The AI assistant in the side panel now writes and fixes these JS macros directly in
the editor, and the new MCP bridge lets Claude Code - or any MCP client - do the
same from outside the browser. The complete uiv.* reference is published here:
https://ui.vision/ai/ai-system-prompt (MCP bridge setup: https://ui.vision/ai/mcp-bridge).
This release also brings a full settings page instead of the old dialog, JS macros
stored as plain .js files in hard-drive storage mode, and OCR.Space OCR API engine
guidance for the AI.
