This Github page is built using Hugo with a theme from Gokarna. It is still in development phase as I am trying to go around the codebase, which is relatively new to me.
You might be wondering why I took the trouble of build a portfolio using Hugo. Well, there are multiple factors why I am doing it.
- First of all, it is fun to learn something new.
- Hugo is a static site generator supporting HTML, Markdown, and a bunch of other stuff.
- Its pretty flexible.
- Site is usually built using
.tomlfile and.mdwhich is really interesting. - You can create templates with HTML also.
- You can use programming languages like Javascript, Python, Go, etc... to create scripts.
- Also the performance is awesome, I mean look at this:
