Hello World, My name is Alex. I'm a game dev with a bright future! I've worked through personal challenges over the last decade to set myself up well and I'm finally at the starting line for my game dev journey. I like to think I'm well rounded though I know I have a lot to learn especially in the coding aspects of things. I play guitar, compose, animate, write, design, and I'm looking to add more to my skillset! My favorite games are kind of cliche but it's the doggone truth that they inspired me and changed the way I saw not only art and games, but they changed the way I think about life itself. Those being Ocarina of Time and Dark Souls. Guitar Hero also had a huge impact on me as it's where I started my music journey. Before guitar hero I had no favorite genres or even interest in music at all really, I mean... I would listen to the cheetah girls on my sister's CD player for gods sake. Nothing wrong with cheetah girls but I was entering my rude little dude era and I couldn't stomach filtered disney channel stars after I heard "You really got me" by Van Halen for the first time. I grew my hair out and never looked back.
I've got a notebook full of game design ideas I've built up over the last decade and a great hunger to learn and create to match it! If you're reading this keep me in mind for your projects as I need all the experience I can get.
