Question about main*.nf pipelines development cycle

In the light of trying to implement

• Allow to pre-fetch and then point/reuse all online materials (like hugging face models) #69

we with @CodyCBakerPhD were curious on how both of those main.nf and main_multi_backend.nf are developed.

• is there some template from which parts are produced? (I see lots of common code/functionality)
• any ways they are brought in sync?
• what should be crucial differences, or could they ever be merged into a single one with different parametrizations?

The main.nf is created via CodeOcean and it should not be modified ;) unfortunately, we cannot change the name, but I think that clarifying this in the docs should be enough.

So the only file to change is the main_multi_backend.nf

ah, cool. And main_multi_backend.nf is purely manual editing/labor?

NB I still wonder if there is some what in code-ocean setup to introduce some reusable nextflow libs etc...

You can edit the main.nf, but then you miss the UI feature which is quite nice :)
