CASUAL: Brainstorm Projects and Analyses

Let's casually discuss ideas here. Low threshold, any post is interesting.

Last meeting several ideas about how to modify future data collection sessions came up. Let's collect them here. From my collection:

-continuous (uninterrupted) data collection for entire session

-add cell morphology info to NWB files

-alter the temporal sequences before the oddball -> might provide insight into learning and contextual PC

-add Ca2+ signals if possible

1/ So for continuous data collection. We will try to debug this on Slap2 this week. This should remove the 500 ms interruption.
SLAP2 data is very large as it gets closer to KhZ rate.
2/ We will discuss packaging morphology with Carter and Maedeh. I can't promise this yet. It depends how complicated the integration will be. We certainly acquired the 3d stack with the whole geometry there.
3/ worthy endeavors definitely. I would favor to see some basic analysis of oddball responses first and proper characterization of these before diving into learning.
4/ Much harder to achieve. Ca2+ and voltage are definitely two complementary needs. The idea experiment is Voltage + Ca2+ in all comparments and all inputs obviously. I am incredibly thankful to Kaspar and team to have the inputs now. It is likely this will have to be sequential experiments. The more progress we make on analysis, the better there. All of those experiments are incredibly demanding.
