How can I edit this code?

There are several ways of editing your application.

Use Lovable

Simply visit the Lovable Project and start prompting.

Changes made via Lovable will be committed automatically to this repo.

Use your preferred IDE

If you want to work locally using your own IDE, you can clone this repo and push changes. Pushed changes will also be reflected in Lovable.

The only requirement is having Node.js & npm installed - install with nvm

Follow these steps:

# Step 1: Clone the repository using the project's Git URL.
git clone <YOUR_GIT_URL>

# Step 2: Navigate to the project directory.
cd <YOUR_PROJECT_NAME>

# Step 3: Install the necessary dependencies.
npm i

# Step 4: Start the development server with auto-reloading and an instant preview.
npm run dev

## API base URL (frontend)

Set the backend URL in your frontend environment:

1. Copy `.env.example` to `.env`.
2. Set `VITE_API_BASE_URL` to your backend URL (e.g., `https://anthonymumbi-production.up.railway.app` for Railway, or `http://localhost:4000` for local).
3. Restart `npm run dev` after changing the env file so the frontend picks up the new value.

If you deploy without setting `VITE_API_BASE_URL`, the frontend will automatically fall back to `https://anthonymumbi-production.up.railway.app` when running on a deployed host, or to `http://localhost:4000` when running locally/LAN on Vite dev/preview.

Tip: leave `VITE_API_BASE_URL` empty if you want the fallback. If you set it, use a full `http(s)://` URL (relative paths like `/api` are ignored).
2. Set `VITE_API_BASE_URL` to your backend URL (e.g., `https://api.example.com` or `http://localhost:4000`).
3. Restart `npm run dev` after changing the env file so the frontend picks up the new value.
