This pull request updates the versioning for both the azure-kusto-ingest and quick-start packages to 6.0.0, and adjusts dependency requirements to support the new major version. These changes ensure compatibility with the latest release of the Azure Kusto Python SDK and its ingestion client.

Version upgrades:

  • Bumped the azure-kusto-ingest package version from 5.0.5 to 6.0.0 in azure-kusto-ingest/pyproject.toml.
  • Bumped the quick-start package version from 5.0.5 to 6.0.0 in quick-start/pyproject.toml.

Dependency updates:

  • Updated quick-start/requirements.txt to allow azure-kusto-data and azure-kusto-ingest versions up to, but not including, 6.0.0.

Pull request overview

This PR bumps the major version from 5.0.5 to 6.0.0 for the Azure Kusto Python SDK packages. However, there is a critical inconsistency: the dependency constraints in requirements.txt still cap the versions at <6.0.0, which will prevent the newly released 6.0.0 versions from being installed.

  • Bumped azure-kusto-ingest and quick-start packages to version 6.0.0
  • Updated dependency version constraints (but incorrectly - they exclude 6.0.0)
