Installation (Easy)

Simply use this button to automatically navigate to the HACS repository in your Home Assistant!

Installation (Manual)

Add this Repository to HACS:

1. Go to HACS
2. Click ⋮ (three-dot menu) → Custom repositories
3. Enter the Repository-URL:
   • URL: Bitte-ein-Git/ha_favicon
4. Select type: Integration
5. Click ADD

Caution

After installation you have to restart Home Assistant

Manual Configuration

1. Add a new config entry via UI:

   • Go to your Home Assistant Settings
   • Select "Devices & services"
   • At the bottom right select "+ Add integration"

2. Select "🖌️• Custom Favicon".

📂 Supported Files & Effects

Place any of the following files into your configured icon folder (default: /local/favicons/) to override default images:

Filename	Effect
favicon.ico / .png	Replaces the standard browser tab icon (favicon.ico)
apple.png	Replaces the Apple Touch Icon (favicon-apple-*.png)
maskable.png	Replaces the Android/PWA maskable icon
banner.png / .svg	Replaces the "Open Home Foundation" badge on the splash screen
splash.svg	Replaces the splash icon (Supports CSS overrides, colors & animations)
splash.png / .gif	Replaces the splash icon with a static or animated image (ignores configured colors)
favicon-192x192.png	Automatically injected into manifest.json based on the specified size
