Welcome to Booming Software, the GitHub organization that hosts (and grows) the ecosystem behind Booming Music.
No buzzwords, no inflated marketing — just clean code, sensible technical decisions, and open‑source software done the right way.
Booming Music is an open‑source Android music player focused on:
- ⚡ Solid performance (no pointless fireworks)
- 🎨 Modern yet functional design
- 🔐 Respect for user privacy
- 📦 Full F‑Droid compatibility
- 🧠 Maintainable, well‑structured code
This organization exists to separate concerns, scale the project properly, and keep things organized.
A few non‑negotiable principles:
- 🧼 Clean code over “clever tricks”
- 🏗️ Clear, predictable architecture
- 🧪 Small, controlled changes
- 📖 Proper documentation
- 🔓 Real open source
Contributions are welcome as long as they meet the bar.
Before opening a pull request:
- Follow the project’s Code of Conduct and the Contribution Guidelines
- Clearly explain what you changed and why
- Avoid massive, unfocused commits
- New dependencies require a very good reason
Booming is under active development. Some parts are stable, others are evolving.
Releases are handled via GitHub Actions, building both standard and F‑Droid variants, with clear versioning (alpha, beta, rc, stable).
