[Bug] Keyboard don't work (F1, Starter, own Keys)

Description

After Update to 10.10.2 keyboard works not as expected:

• No F keys working F1 to F12 in budgie, only in apps, if they using them;
• Alt + Ctrl + arrow keys to switch workspace;
• Starter like Homepage, 'Email, Calculator`;
• own keys, like RWin + - as command execute, but Alt + F2 shows this up;

Only the starter for Hibernate 🌙 and Screenshot works.
I use a lot of starters, because the menu sucks; it is not possible to work with the keyboard.
LWinopens it, but it is nor possible to start anything with keys, only the mouse works.
The search field has an extremely slow response time when entering data; you also have to click in it with the mouse and menu stays open till you click on LWin again.

10.10.2.

System sounds don't work too, only Evolution has sound for incoming emails.
It is my “Every-Day PC“ and I need it for work and Cryptos; very bad all these errors after all these years of use without any problems. 🥹

please attach the file ~/.config/budgie-desktop/labwc/rc.xml

Try also the following:

mv ~/.config/budgie-desktop/labwc ~/.config/budgie-desktop/labwc-backup

Then logout and login

The labwc folder should be recreated with a fresh rc.xml file.

I see, that there is a rc.xml backup file, I think the update did this..
In the actual file is something from Mate, from which settings comes this?

I have to use my old file rc.xml.backup, the new one is always wrong, need my file themerc-override too or window decoration is ugly and font of menus to small .
I think, I have to chmod the file [rc.xml], bc budgie overwrite it at every login.

After making file read-only it works. 👍
But why labwc think I use mate-calculator instead my gnome-calculater? I use Mate many years ago - where labwc/budgie is looking for this data?

It isn't looking anywhere specific in this case, it's simply set in our default rc.xml. Distributions can set overrides but we may need a good mechanism for end users.

I've tried this issue as described on ubuntu budgie 26.04 and I'm afraid I cannot reproduce it.
