This commit was applied to the master branch, but resulted in some CI failures. Rather than try to fix them in the master branch, I've moved them to this PR, so the CI issues can be resolved and then the changes merged back in.
This appears to be a semi-automated update to Rubocop which made changes to 100 files to meet new/changed/updated/newly preferred syntax.
