I'm not sure, but I think this may be because #82716 changed https://github.com/Maleclypse/Cataclysm-DDA/blob/b7bbdf6927f688bec8faf65467ebe94703176063/src/npctalk.cpp#L3502-L3519 to remove traits that have the same type when you gain a new mutation of that type.

The XEDRA_CHRONOMANCER trait has the HERITAGE flag (

) (I think this is meant to be EOC_MAGICLYSM_GAME_START_HUMANS_ARE_HUMAN_XE_CONDITIONS, rather than ..._MOM_CONDITIONS and I'm not sure if that causes issues), but I think adding it there would make you no longer logically human, even if I'm not sure if that has any mechanical effects.
