Modernize X11 interface with dark/light theme and improved layout#16

Add dark theme as default with fallback X resources (dark backgrounds, light text, styled widgets) and optional --light flag for light theme. Widen layout (640px), taller colorbar (24px) with 7 labels and tick marks, section separators between widget groups, teal highlight on active variable toggle, and theme-aware timeseries plot and colorbar.
