pop-size-and-migration

An agent-based model about the relationships between settlement size, population and migration. Class project for the MA course "Agent-based modelling for archaeologists. From concept to application and publication" part of the MA Digital and Computational Archaeology, hosted in the CoDArchLab at the Institute of Archaeology, University of Cologne.

The model design is based on the conceptual modelling example developed at: https://codarchlab-abm.github.io/course-guide/concept-pop-dyn.html

All contents were prepared by the instructor and students as a group practice, during or after sessions.

Changelog

  • 2025/02: initial working version created at the last session of the course 2024-2025.
  • 2025/10: update to adapt to NetLogo 7. Creation of a dedicated repository (here).
