This page will guide you through the basic setup steps in order to start using the BDK.
- Windows 10+ or Linux
- Blender 4.5+
The video demonstrating these instructions can be found here.
- Run a compatible version of Blender.
- Open the
Preferencesdialog by navigating toEdit>Preferences...or press Ctrl+,. - Navigate to the
Get Extensionstab. - Click the
Repositoriesbutton in the top right. - Press the
+button and selectAdd Remote Repository. - For the
URL, enter:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/DarklightGames/bdk_extension_repository/refs/heads/main/index.json
- Click
Create. - Search for the
Unreal PSK/PSAextension and install it. - Search for the
Unreal BDKextension and install it.
Now that the required add-ons are installed, the next step is to turn your game's assets into assets usable by Blender.
