There was a problem hiding this comment.
I'm still not Lieven, but here are my thoughts:
- butlh: To stay close to the original, I would write "Eigenschaft, die dem ähnelt, was Menschen "Frechheit, Dreistigkeit oder Unverfrorenheit" nennen würden."
- choS: Due to the way it has been used in canon ("the deserted Saq'Sub"), I would use all possible translations, so "desertieren, fahnenflüchtig werden, im Stich lassen, verlassen, aufgeben". Since I've seen this one change before, I might consider adding a note to explain, f.ex. "Die Verwendung in den unten aufgezählten Canon-Beispielen legt nahe, dass dieses Wort allgemeiner verwendet werden kann als das deutsche "desertieren"."
- chov: I would add the newly suggested words, but also keep "abschätzen" and add "beurteilen, evaluieren"
- DuD: accept
- Duy': accept
- Haw': accept
- Huv: I wouldn't put "nicht trübe sein", that seems more of a job for tlhoDbe'
- ja': accept
- jolpa' yIjaH!: The German text in the film at this point is actually "In den Transporterraum!" If you decide to do a more literal translation of the Klingon, it should be "Geht zum Transporterraum!" since Kruge is addressing multiple people.
- jun: accept
- lon: accept and add "zurücklassen"
- mIy: accept, but correct "rühmen" zu "sich rühmen"
- nuHHom: accept
- nge': This one is difficult. "mitnehmen" is "take away" in the sense of "take-away food", "food to go". There is no canon usage of the word, but community usage so far seems to interpret this word as "take away from someone", though of course that doesn't mean much. I'd argue that we'd have to ask a clarification before adding this translation, but at the same time, it is a possible translation of "take away".
- qIl: accept
- Qey: accept
- QID: accept
- QIH: accept
- Qop: accept
- QuQ: Add the new ones, as well as "Triebwerk", but "Maschine" is a valid translation of "engine" and should be kept
- Qut: accept
- ratlh: "bleiben" and "übrig bleiben" are sufficiently distinct in meaning that they should be listed separately. However, I would argue that "übrig bleiben" is really chuv and shouldn't be added here, even though it is a possible translation of "remain"
- rIH: accept
- rup: accept
- SIch: accept
- tagh: I would leave as is, so that the "einen Vorgang"-part can apply to both verbs
- tum: accept
- tlhaqwIj chu'Ha'lu'pu': accept
- vI': accept
- wuv: accept
- yepHa': accept
- 'aD: accept and add "Ader"
- 'oSwI': accept

I thought I had, but it wasn't all of them. I've integrated them now, see new PR. |
