Here's a rough cut of some slightly expanded descriptions for each service state based on our code and also based on https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonECS/latest/developerguide/task-lifecycle-explanation.html
It's of course worth noting that some of these are ECS specific. I couldn't tell at a glance if there are any GCP or DO specific states that could appear, or if we just provide less-granular updates for deployments to those clouds.
