Message Templates

A precision feedback message template is a specification of the delivery of some performance information content to a feedback recipient. Message templates contain a key message and optionally a visual display and represent a possible motivational message that a precision feedback system can send. For example, a key messages such as "You have reached the goal" or "You are not a top performer" may be included in a message template with a visual display of a bar chart, line chart, other graphical display, or no chart at all (text-only).

Goal Approach Message Template

There is currently one message template that the precision feedback system can access for performance approaching the goal:

Approach Goal (GH) message:

Your performance is approaching the goal this month for the measure [Measure name]. Your performance was [recipient performance level as percentage (with numerator and denominator)], below the [comparator name].

This message template is about (OntoBee) the following data features:

  1. Goal comparator element (BP)
  2. Negative performance gap set (BP)
  3. Positive performance trend set (BP)
  4. Display format compatibility: Line Graph (BP), Bar Chart (BP)

Goal Gain Message Template

There is one message templates that the precision feedback system can access for achievement of goal:

Reached Goal (GH) message:

You reached the goal this month for the measure [Measure name]. Your performance was [recipient performance level as percentage (with numerator and denominator)].

This message template is about (OntoBee) the following data features:

  1. Goal comparator element (BP)
  2. Positive performance gap set (BP)
  3. Positive performance trend set (BP)
  4. Achievement set (BP)
