This pull request aims to fix various tracker interface and playback issues.

This pull request improves upon and supercedes #342.

  • There doesn't seem to be any bug at the time of its writing upon further scrutiny.

on wine the instrument list flashes to black and back every time i switch instruments
it does expand the instrument list to fit the widest name after I rename an instrument, but only when i next switch instruments

maybe it should redraw the instrument list when you {switch instruments? unfocus the instrument name box? press enter?} and have typed into the box? (redrawing every time you type may make typing laggy)

the current behavior is such that if you switch instrument selection, the instrument list redraws

unfortunately it appears that redrawing on wine causes the list to flicker black

added a patch where the instrument list will not redraw while it is updating
