🎯 Key Talking Points

  1. BOA has grown 3× in two years — infrastructure hasn't kept pace
  2. 35% 12-month retention (down from 48%) — recognition programs improve this by 30-40%
  3. 642-876 hours/year can be saved through automation (BOA Bot)
  4. 78% of volunteers say more recognition would increase satisfaction
  5. Only 25% of decisions are documented — knowledge base eliminates this risk
  6. EU coverage gaps from leadership departures — targeted recruitment closes them
  7. 150+ events, 50+ leaders mentored — BOA's track record speaks for itself

📊 Impact vs. Effort Matrix

Low Effort High Effort
High Impact ✅ Recognition Program
✅ Knowledge Base
🎯 BOA Bot
Low Impact 📋 EU Recruitment ⏸️ Deprioritize

Recommended sequence: Quick wins first (Recognition + Knowledge Base), then flagship project (Bot), then expansion (Technical collaboration).

🗣️ Recommended Discussion Order

  1. Open with BOA's track record and appreciation (Slide 1-4)
  2. Present challenges honestly — as opportunities, not complaints (Slide 5)
  3. Lead with Recognition Program — highest approval likelihood, near-zero cost
  4. Introduce Knowledge Base — quick win, high ROI
  5. Present BOA Bot — medium-term flagship, frame as force multiplier
  6. Discuss Communication — technical transparency as trust-building
  7. Close with Vision — phased approach, co-designed partnership

⚠️ Tone Guidelines

  • Professional, respectful, collaborative — never demanding
  • Data-driven — use specific numbers and examples
  • Frame as opportunities — not grievances or requests
  • "We" and "together" — not "we need" or "you should"
  • Honest about challenges — transparency builds trust
  • Be human — this is a community conversation, not a boardroom pitch
