The third test release - improved stability and cleanup.

  • No 64-bit support.
  • Windows 7 and Windows 10.
  • Excel 2010, Excel 2013 and Excel 2016 (32-bit only)
  • Some loading sequence issues with Excel 2010 - display depends on whether IntelliSense.xll or addin.xll is loaded first.

The only supported hosting mode is to load the ExcelDna.IntelliSense.xll as a separate add-in. (Later versions will supported an integrated mode, allowing the library to be incorporated into another add-in).

On-sheet IntelliSense should be automatically enabled for Excel-DNA add-ins built with v0.32 or later, providing the same description as in the Function Arguments dialog (derived from ExcelFunction, ExcelArgument and Description attributes).

The .config file is not required, but can be used to enable diagnostic logging - set switchValue="All".
