I looked into reports of Boss drops being unexpectedly despawning. Reproducible whenever unloading item drops from lycanites entities.
Cause was writing to disk was being provided a null id string, which affects all lycanites entity drops. Fix is create a registry entry for "lycanitesmobs:custom_item". Tracker matches the vanilla EntityItem.
