  • constant time is_complete
  • separate chunk parsing from dechunking Chunk::parse
    • this allows us to have multiple in-progress decoders. we can look them up via chunk id
  • use bytemuck for Header serialization/deserializaion
  • better header validation
  • better error messages
  • more tests
