This wiki serves primarily as documentation for content which can be expanded through Resource Packs and Data Packs, as well as other things that benefit from more in-depth out-of-game explanations, like our commands and gamerules. Whether you're a player looking into how the mod works, or a developer looking to integrate your content, these pages should have all the info you could need!
If you've taken an interest in mapmaking using Portal Cubed, the following pages may be of interest to you:
- Commands added by Portal Cubed: Portal Cubed includes many commands that can be used to interact with our features from command blocks and data packs.
- Gamerules added by Portal Cubed: A lot of Portal Cubed's gamerules are made with mapmaking in mind. This page describes what each one does in a bit more detail than the in-game explanations.
- Tags added by Portal Cubed: Many of Portal Cubed's features are controlled with Minecraft's Tag system. Including a data pack built into your map can allow you to change these tags and have more control over features such as which blocks support portal placement.
If you've taken interest in adding content using Portal Cubed's systems, or integrating your mod's content with our systems, the following pages may be of interest to you:
- Advancement Triggers added by Portal Cubed: A handful of Portal Cubed's advancements make use of custom trigger conditions. These can be used to make custom advancements for interacting with Portal Cubed content.
- Asset Driven Content in Portal Cubed: A few of Portal Cubed's cosmetic systems are entirely resource pack-based. This includes Portal Gun Skins and Portal Gun Crosshairs.
- Data Driven Content in Portal Cubed: Some of Portal Cubed's features can be expanded using data packs. This includes some cosmetic things like Portal Types and Signage Images, as well as more tangible features such as Constructs.
- Tags added by Portal Cubed: Portal Cubed's tag-based systems allow for very easy mod integration and compatibility for many features.
- Using Emissives.json: Portal Cubed has a custom Emissives system that works slightly differently from Vanilla's, offering some minor advantages in certain situations.
