Synchronizing .stignore-file

Hi guys,

is there any smart solution to synchronize to .stignore-file?

I use Synctrayzor and ST to sync mostly powerpoint files, so of course I want to avoid the sync of the owner files (~$*) PPT creates when opening a presentation.

As I am configuring new ppt pcs all the time, my current solution is to create a .stignore.txt file (that will be synced by ST to all clients) and rename it handish to .stignore to do his job. Therefore I need to go to each PC to accomplish that.

Is there any solution to sync the .stignore-files in the whole sync network? Would it be the job for Synctrayzor or rather for ST to allow that?

Syncthing specific questions should be directed to syncthing's channels, not SyncTrayzor. https://forum.syncthing.net/

However, the usual technique (also mentioned on the forums) is to create a file, say global.stignore and then include that file in the local .stignore file using the #include directive (https://docs.syncthing.net/users/ignoring.html). global.stignore is treated as a regular file and as such it will be synced across devices. You need to configure the local stignore file on all devices to include the global file once, but once that's set all changes to the global file are applied everywhere automatically.

Thank you for the hint with the #include. That helps me in keeping the list of ignored files up to date, but do you know any hidden parameter to allow the sync of the .stignore-file? That would spare me some work.

As far as I know, that's not possible.
