### European Strategy Update (EPPSU) final stages

The paper, *The Critical Importance of Software for HEP*, was

The paper was endorsed by ALICE, ATLAS, Belle II, CMS, DUNE, ePIC, LHCb, MCnet and WLCG!

Journal submission: EPJC is waiting our submission but not done yet due to lack of time...

### Steering Group

Last SG meeting took place on [April 14th](https://hepsoftwarefoundation.org/organization/2025/04/14/steering.html).

The chair (Graeme) ends the mandate on June and leaving CERN; also there are a few members retiring. Some discussion has started on the level of support which can be expected from CERN and possible other contributions.

- Abstract submission deadline: April 30
- the number of submissions is approaching that of last year
- Early registration deadline for local participation: April 25
- After April 25 an additional fee will apply
- Final registration deadline: July 7
