I left several comments. Apart from that,
- This PR has waaaaay too many images. You don't need to show them all.
- We want to avoid
ggsave, and let the chunks just print their results. Is that possible?

very rough first draft of project. this needs a lot of cleaning up/ stylising/ fitting to the guidelines but it runs a finished visualisation
