Documentation update

This patch release contains only documentation updates to the README.md for clarity.

Major refactoring as part of the COMPASS EU project

This release combines improvements developed within the COMPASS project (COMPASS deliverable D2.4).

M1 – Improvements in usability and reproducibility
M2 – Better model validation
M3 – Redesign and code modularization
M4 – Additional PyMC5 and Scipy solver
M5 – Online documentation and test suite added
M6 – Alternative treatment of the annual cycle (ISIMIP-style)

Major methodological updates for final manuscript

This release implements several improvements as requested by reviewers:

• rewrite the statistical models as Generalized Linear Models
• include annual cycle for precipitation model
• use Beta distribution for relative humidity
• use Gamma distribution for daily temperature range
• use 4 Fourier modes for annual cycle and change in annual cycle for all variables, respectively, to capture more complex seasonal cycles
• switch from NUTS sampling of Posterior distribution to Maximum Aposteriori estimation as default.

Minor fix to previous release

Differences to the last version:

• removed some unused code that caused an error in the last version.

Code as used for manuscript submission to GMD

Updates compared to v1.0.0:

• removed unused parts of the code
• updated the README.md
• renamed to ATTRICI

isimip-protocol-3 initial release

First Release. This version was used to produce the counterclim data in ISIMIP3a.
