@ogauthe I moved the tests from test/basics to test, unfortunately there is a weird bug in the current test workflow where tests in subfolders run locally but don't get run during CI (so many of the tests actually hadn't been running on CI, and in fact there was a small bug in Julia 1.10 that I fixed here).
