Privacy Policy for Slangify

This Privacy Policy explains how Ihar Pronka ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Slangify mobile application (the "App").

2. What the App Does

Slangify allows users to enter text and generate stylized or slang-based rewritten output. The App also includes advertising, rewarded ads, analytics, support purchases, and language/settings preferences.

3. Categories of Data We Process

Depending on how you use the App, we may process the following categories of information:

A. User-provided content

  • Text you enter for translation or rewriting
  • Selected style or "vibe"
  • Generated output returned to you

B. App preferences and local data

  • Selected app language
  • Local settings
  • Locally stored recent translation result
  • Local generation counters and bonus generation state

C. Authentication and backend identifiers

  • Anonymous Firebase Authentication user ID
  • Request metadata associated with Firebase Cloud Functions

D. Analytics and diagnostics data

Through Firebase Analytics and related Google services, the App or our providers may process:

  • App instance identifiers
  • Device and app information, such as model, operating system, app version, and language
  • Usage events, sessions, and app interaction data
  • Approximate location inferred from IP address
  • Diagnostic, anti-fraud, and performance data

E. Advertising data

Through Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads, the App or our providers may process:

  • Advertising ID or similar device identifiers, where available
  • Ad request and response data
  • Ad impressions, clicks, rewarded ad events, and related interaction data
  • Approximate location inferred from IP address
  • Device information
  • Consent and privacy-choice status

F. Purchase and entitlement data

If you make a support purchase, our billing and purchase infrastructure may process:

  • Purchase status
  • Product identifiers
  • Entitlement status
  • Transaction metadata necessary to validate and restore purchases

We do not receive your full payment card details.

4. Third-Party Services and Processors

We use third-party providers to operate the App. These may include:

  • Google Firebase Authentication
  • Google Firebase Cloud Functions
  • Google Firebase Analytics
  • Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads
  • OpenAI, for text-generation or rewriting requests handled through our backend
  • RevenueCat, for purchase and entitlement handling
  • Apple App Store / Google Play billing systems, where applicable

These providers may process personal data on our behalf or as independent controllers according to their own terms and privacy policies.

5. How We Use Data

We use data to:

  • Provide the text generation and rewriting features of the App
  • Return generated output based on your request
  • Operate and secure backend services
  • Analyze app usage and improve the App
  • Show ads, including rewarded ads
  • Manage consent and privacy choices
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, misuse, and technical failures
  • Process and restore support purchases and related entitlements
  • Comply with legal obligations

6. AI and Text Processing

When you submit text in Slangify, that text may be transmitted to our backend infrastructure and processed by service providers acting on our behalf in order to generate the requested output.

Because the App uses AI-assisted generation:

  • output may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or inappropriate
  • you are responsible for reviewing output before using or sharing it
  • you should not submit confidential, financial, medical, biometric, or other sensitive personal data through the App

7. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent: for personalized advertising, certain analytics processing where required, and privacy-choice management
  • Performance of a contract or requested service: to generate the output you request and restore purchase-related functionality
  • Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent abuse, debug issues, measure service performance, and operate non-personalized app features where permitted
  • Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with law, regulation, tax, accounting, or enforcement obligations

8. Consent, Disclosure, and Privacy Options

Where required by law, we request consent before requesting ads that rely on personal data or relevant device storage for personalization.

The App includes privacy controls through Google UMP / AdMob consent tools. Depending on your region and device, you may be able to:

  • give or deny ad-related consent
  • change your ad privacy choices later
  • access privacy options from inside the App settings

If personalized ads are not permitted, we may request non-personalized ads where available or may be unable to serve certain ads.

9. Sharing of Data

We may share or make data available to the third parties listed above to the extent necessary to operate the App.

In particular, data may be shared with:

  • Google LLC and its affiliates for Firebase and AdMob services
  • OpenAI for AI text processing performed through our backend
  • RevenueCat for purchase and entitlement processing
  • App store / platform payment providers for purchase handling

We do not sell your personal data in the ordinary meaning of that term. If privacy law in your jurisdiction defines certain ad-tech disclosures as a "sale" or "sharing," your rights will depend on local law and the provider setup used for your region.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

Where required by applicable law, such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms used by our providers.

11. Data Retention

We retain data for different periods depending on the category and purpose:

  • Local app settings and recent results: stored on your device until you reset the App, clear app data, or uninstall
  • Anonymous authentication state: retained according to Firebase service operation and session needs
  • Translation request and backend processing data: retained only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, debugging, security, abuse prevention, and provider logging practices
  • Analytics and advertising data: retained according to our provider settings and provider retention policies
  • Purchase and entitlement records: retained as needed to validate purchases, restore entitlements, and comply with legal, accounting, or tax obligations

We may retain limited information longer where required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, law enforcement requests, or legal compliance.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • access personal data we process about you
  • request correction of inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your data
  • request restriction of processing
  • object to certain processing
  • request portability where applicable
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority

13. Data Deletion Requests

  • some data may only exist locally on your device and can be deleted by resetting the App, clearing app storage, or uninstalling the App
  • some data may be retained by service providers according to their own systems and legal obligations
  • some transaction and entitlement records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or platform-compliance reasons

We will review and process valid requests within a reasonable period and in line with applicable law.

14. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and it is not intended for children below the applicable digital age threshold in the user's jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will review the issue.

15. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through the App. These may include encrypted transmission, controlled backend access, and provider security safeguards.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where required.
