How It Works

  1. Pin the Archive Page button to your browser toolbar for easy access.
  2. Configure your Toolbar Action in Options (Dropdown, Search, or Archive).
  3. Click the button to execute your chosen action. The result opens in a new tab.
  4. Use right-click context menus to archive or search links directly.
  5. Use a keyboard shortcut (customizable in your browser’s extension settings) to Archive or Search current page even faster.
  6. Bookmark or share the archive URL as needed.

Privacy

  • Summary: Your privacy is fully respected.
  • Privacy Policy
  • No Cookies: Cookies are not used.
  • Minimum Permissions: Only the minimum necessary permissions are specified.
  • URL Tracking: Tracking can be removed from URLs with the ClearURLs extension (good but not perfect) and is strongly recommended:
  • No data collection: The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or browsing data, except for sending the current tab’s URL to Archive Today when you request it.
  • User control: You can remove or disable the extension at any time. No data is retained by the extension after removal.
  • Open Source: The extension is open source—review the code here for full transparency.

Notes & Troubleshooting

  • Error Handling: If you encounter an error, simply try again later. Archive Today may be temporarily overwhelmed; this is not an extension issue.

  • Other Issues: See the FAQ.
